Dorn Beattie is a Canadian rock and country singer, who was associated with the bands 49th Parallel, Painter and Hammersmith in the 1970s before retiring from music.[1] Dorn Beattie was honored with a Broadcast Music Industry (BMI) award in 1973 for “Outstanding Contribution to Canadian Music” Also noteworthy that in 1973, Dorn Beattie and his band Painter, shared a promo LP with Queen, Jackson Brown and Linda Ronstadt and from that, Painter’s debut single, “West Coast Woman’ became the fastest rising single in Elektra Records history.
